Leading Product & Design for Regarding Play, a service making sports easier for everyone to book and play.
I joined the founder of Regarding Play on a mission to help craft and design the company's initial MVP product.
Regarding Play was born from the vision that the way in which we access and play sport should be as easy and frictionless as possible.
With this in mind, we set out to create an easy to use product that allowed people to access sports and courts whenever they want - from the palm of their hand.
Before picking up any design tools, I explored the current market. This allowed me to get a good understanding of the market, the products on offer and their shortcomings.
I then took the time to start with some key user stories based off my research of the industry. This allowed me to identify some key pain points and areas in which I needed to focus my efforts.
With all of this in mind, I set off with initial wireframes of the product - from top to bottom.
Armed with the wireframes, I then walked the rest of the Regarding Play through the flows and designs in order to collect feedback and insights. This allowed me to identify minor changes and corrections required in order to fine-tune the flows.
With the research done and the "map" of the product outlined, I then began the visual design process.
As the product is in the MVP stage, and time to market is important, my focus was on designing something visually pleasing while trying to keep the development overheads minimal.
With the visual design done, I then wrapped up the screens into an InVision prototype.
I completed 30+ screens for the company's product, delivered a fully functioning prototype and set the ground work for user stories and task breakdowns for the MVP that is heading to market shortly.
